Who we are

Parapel is an exam preparation service operated by FORBRI LLC. This policy covers the Parapel mobile apps, app.parapel.am and parapel.am. FORBRI LLC is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@parapel.am.

Information we process

InformationWhen and why
Account informationIf you create or sign into an account, we process your email address, a Firebase user ID, authentication credentials, and account timestamps. An existing account may also provide a display name or profile photo. We use these to sign you in, manage your account and associate your progress with you.
Practice and exam activityWe process the pack, question list, language, questions shown, answers selected, scores, mistakes, timing and session status. This lets us serve questions, check answers, show results, focus practice on your past mistakes and enforce practice limits. Signed-in users also have progress and completed attempts stored in their account.
Guest informationPracticing without a registered account creates an anonymous Firebase identifier. Temporary session records and usage counters are sent to our servers, even for guests. Guest progress is saved on your device; it may be copied into your account when you sign in and open the corresponding question list.
Preferences and local storageYour interface language, saved sign-in session and guest progress are stored on your device or in browser storage so the app can remember your choices.
Technical informationOur hosting and authentication providers process network information such as IP addresses, user-agent details, request times and service error logs to deliver the service, diagnose problems and prevent abuse. The mobile apps also request software updates through Expo EAS Update. Those requests include operating-system and app-version information and a random installation identifier, so the correct update can be delivered. We do not associate that installation identifier with your Parapel account. We do not use IP addresses to determine your location for app features.
Support correspondenceIf you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request or investigate a reported question.

Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication. We do not store readable passwords in the Parapel profile database. The current release has no third-party advertising or advertising tracking SDK, and no in-app payment processing. It does not request your contacts, precise location, microphone or camera.

How we use information

We use information to provide practice sessions and account features, save learning progress, secure the service, limit abusive or automated access, respond to support and privacy requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing it and answering requests, legal obligations, and consent for any optional activity that requires it. We do not make decisions about official exam admission, licensing or employment using your practice scores.

Service providers and disclosures

Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide authentication, database storage, hosting, question-session functions and delivery of question images. Cloudflare provides domain DNS and email routing; support email is delivered through Google email services. Expo provides mobile software-update delivery. These providers process information needed to perform their services. See Firebase privacy information, Cloudflare's privacy policy, Google's privacy policy and Expo's privacy explanation.

Authorized personnel may access information when necessary for administration or support. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or in a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections. Official exam-source links and store services are operated by their respective providers and have their own policies.

Storage, retention and deletion

We keep registered account details, account progress and completed attempts while your account remains active, until you request their deletion, unless a specific legal obligation requires retention. Temporary practice-session and usage records are scheduled to expire 30 days after their last update. Automatic provider cleanup is asynchronous, so expiry and removal are not simultaneous.

Local guest progress remains until you clear it in the app or remove the app's local storage. Removing an app or signing out does not by itself delete a registered account. Support correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and related disputes or legal obligations; you may ask us to delete it.

We remove deleted account information from our active application records. Provider backups, security logs or legally required records may remain for the provider's retention period or the period required by law. Firebase states that deleted authentication data is removed from its live and backup systems within 180 days; see its retention information. Retained records are restricted to the purpose requiring retention.

Security and international processing

Parapel uses HTTPS for service requests, authenticated access and database access rules. These safeguards reduce risk, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Firebase Authentication processes information in the United States; other providers may process information in additional countries. This means your information can be processed outside your country, including outside Armenia. Applicable provider data-processing terms govern those services.

Your choices and rights

You can practice the available guest tickets without registering, change your interface language, sign out, and request deletion of your account and associated data. Contact support@parapel.am to request access, correction, a copy of your information, deletion, or to object to or restrict processing where applicable law provides those rights. We may verify account ownership before acting on a request. You may also contact the relevant data protection authority.

Younger users

Parapel is designed for people preparing for licensing and professional examinations, and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, use the service with a parent or guardian's permission and follow the eligibility rules of the relevant official exam. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact support@parapel.am so we can investigate and remove it where required.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and show the revised date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service. Questions and privacy requests: support@parapel.am.
