About this exam
The theory exam citizens take before acquiring a weapon for the first time (other than cold and throwing weapons), under order N 3-Ն of the Minister of Internal Affairs of 28 August 2023. It is a computer test of 10 questions from the Police's official list, in Armenian: each correct answer gives 1 point, 8 points pass, and you have 30 minutes. It is held by the Armenian Shooting Federation, licensed shooting ranges and other approved organisations, with a Police representative on the commission. If you do not pass, you can try again after 3 days and no later than the 15th day. A practical shooting test of 5 exercises follows; some people with military service are exempt from it. In the official list the correct answer is almost always the first option (76 of 79 questions), so here the options come in a random order.
